Pinay Pictures is a New York based production company owned

by award-winning director and producer, Beth Aala. 


Beth has vast experience in all aspects of production including editing, camera work and photography.

She also has a background in oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, as well as printmaking. 

Beth has produced numerous Emmy and Peabody award-winning HBO films under the legendary Sheila

Nevins.  Her film, Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon (A&E IndieFilms) won the Hollywood Film

Award for Best Documentary and was nominated for the 2015 News and Documentary Emmy

Awards. She directed and produced the documentary with comedian, Mike Myers.  


Prior to her experience at HBO, Aala worked as an independent producer on a multitude of MTV shows

including "Total Request Live" and the annual "Video Music Awards," working with big musical acts such as

  1. U2, Jay Z, Beyonce, Trent Reznor, Alicia Keys, Outkast, Dave Grohl, Missy Elliott and Justin Timberlake.  

She also produced and directed one of the premiere episodes of the hit series, "Made."  


Beth Aala currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and two boys.  

In her free time (ha!) she makes woodblock prints, cooks, takes way too many photos of her kids,

and documents her travels around the world.
